Jobs and unemployement

Do you still have a job? If not what are you doing to look for one? There are all kinds of articles and resources on the internet now to show you how to use social media to find a job, or use Twitter to find a job. Then there is good old fashioned networking. And some people even still find leads on jobs via the job boards like CareerBuilder and Monster. Plus even if you do still have a job people may be telling you to make sure your resume is up to date. Confessions of a Twitter Lurker

Admittedly I am still a “newbie” when it comes to using Twitter, but I am learning more every day. When I started using Twitter the first thing I did was begin following the bloggers who I read on a regular basis. This access to the minute by minute updates from the likes of Chris Brogan and David Meerman Scott was just amazing to me. And then when @chrisbrogan followed me back, well I was just floored. My SacTweetUp Recap

Last night I went to my first SacTweetUp. I was a little nervous at first because I didn’t know anyone there. I’m always a little shy when I meet new people, especially by myself. But I put on my best “social” face and ordered a drink. That usually helps.

I met so many great people! First I met Katrina who is an awesome business coach. She doesn’t pull punches and won’t let you get away with half-@ssed responses. I met Realtors, the best of whom was Chris; he was insightful. I met designers and marketing professionals, sales people and a self-professed serial entrepreneur. It was really amazing. Read more »
